Am looking forward to our reunion, but am disappointed in the turnout. The bright side is that I will be able to visit with everyone.
I retired 4 years ago and loving it. Busier than ever, but now my choice not my employer's.
I volunteer for the Scottsdale Fire Dept. (kids programs, event booths, senior programs) and the new Scottsdale Museum of the West (why weren't our history classes this interesting?). Am somewhat involved in Scottsdale City politics: attend City Council and various organization
meetings and involved in elections. Politics, as I know you are very aware, can be frustrating, but also interesting. So far, I have not been able to solve all city or world problems. I am also Neighborhood Block Watch Captain.
Have added my name to the list of elderly ailments: bilateral total knee replacements 3 years ago (was a mistake having both done at the same time), with a revision of one a year ago. Times when I get frustrated
about not being able to hike as in the past or run around the block, I remind myself I am not in a wheel chair or using a walker. I really do feel pretty normal, so all is well; besides, I love getting patted down at the airports.
The only trip I've taken was a three week driving vacation through Kentucky (great distilleries), Tennessee, and along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Can't wait to get out of our "hell degree" temperatures.
Many thanks to the reunion committee for the many hours all of you have put into making it the success I know it will be.

Louie
