At this stage of my life the last thing I would want to be on is another committee. I therefore wish to join everyone in thanking Philip, Ann and Aaron for organizing our 50th reunion! My wife, Cyndie, and I will make every effort to be there.
We have four children--three girls and a boy. Our daughters are married and have their own families. We are fortunate to have four, and soon five, grandchildren. I am often overheard saying, “God saves the best till last!” Our son died of cancer 18 years ago.
After graduating from seminary I served a church in the Catskill Mountains of New York State for five years. Since then I have been part of a team ministry at a wonderful church here in New Jersey.
Several years--and several pounds--ago I completed three marathons. Since then I have tried to take a walk once or twice a week. Cyndie and I take our longest walks in Cape Cod which has become our “home away from home.”
I am surprised by the number of our classmates who have died. Hopefully some remembrance of them can be included in our reunion weekend.
